All other tables are allocated on a first come first served basis, so if there is less than 10 of you in your party we advise you to ………
Get there early!
That way you get the pick of the best seats and you’ll be able to sit next to your mates.
Drinks and Food
If you fancy a bite to eat before the show there is plenty available at the bar in the Norfolk Lounge. Hot food is available from 7pm, so you can line your stomach before the beer starts flowing, the jokes start rolling and your sides start splitting.
The bar is open throughout the evening and for a short while after the acts have finished, so no need to hurry away after the show. You are very welcome to stay for another drink before the end of the night.
PS … please try not to get completely trolleyed, we don’t want to ask you to leave because you’re 20 times over the limit!
Line-ups can change
If you want to see a specific comedian always double check the listings.
Our doors are open from 7pm and the show kicks off at 8.30pm. We usually have things all finished by 11.15pm.
Before the show
We let you know the show is starting in 5 minutes, so you can nip to the loo, the bar or just to settle in for the night.
The Compere is the glue that holds the night together and we have the best in the country regularly playing for us. They’ll chat with you, have a laugh with you (not at you or at your expense) and they introduce the acts. The Compere will also ask you to switch your mobiles off or to silent and they ask you not to chat with your mates when the acts are on stage. We want everyone to enjoy the show but a table chatting can spoil the show for others around you. Save the chat for the break is all we’re asking.
It’s part of stand up comedy but there’s a fine line between the odd funny heckle to persistent unfunny heckles. The comedians playing the night have sets to perform in a given time, so interruptions can disrupt them and you might not get the full set they planned.
At Red Card Comedy Club we firmly believe that traditions should be upheld and as such we have run our club the proper way, bringing you 4 brilliant acts, your Compere will host proceedings and present 3 acts with a break to get to the bar or toilet after each act. Simple. Why complicate it or penny pinch by bringing you less?
